To our dear friends of the Lower Class Revolt! Welcome to the days of tall ships and great shows and the afternoon fog of San Francisco and hello to the places beyond our humble Lower Class Revolt HQ. A big thanks goes out to all of who have sent in the kind notes as of late. Our reach is expanding and we’re quite pleased with the progress.
A couple of quick reminders. First, don’t forget about our show on Wednesday July 30th at The Knockout in San Francisco featuring The Aimless Never Miss, The Sleepover Disaster and Pillows. Besides a night of amazing and sprawling guitar rock, this will be the release party for Pillows new virtual EP so come out and support this East Bay duo!
It’s never too early to mark you calendars. On August 29th the Lower Class Revolt will be hosting L.A.’s The Happy Hollows, San Francisco’s Leopold and his Fiction and the East Bay’s The ThousandNames. Please take the time to check each band out on their Myspace pages.
Way down the road yet right around the corner… the Lower Class Revolt will be hosting our first event at The Café Du Nord in San Francisco on September 10th. We’re bringing down All Smiles (featuring Jim Fairchild from Grandaddy fame) from Portland to headline the CD RELEASE PARTY for Aimless Never Miss. Opening the show will be San Francisco’s Harbours!
The national release date for The Aimless Never Miss’ self titled full length debut is September 23rd, 2008. But we’re going to release it early on the Devil in the Woods Records and Lower Class Revolt websites as well as at the release show. Save some dough and order direct from us and be the first on your block to own this new release.
In other news, T-shirt and skateboard designer Shannon Gonzalez has finished the first set of Lower Class Revolt skate decks and LCR t-shirts. We’ll be dropping those on the website soon. The quality is amazing and we’ll be selling them for near nothing! Chalk one up for the working class!
Thanks for your continued support and we hope to see and hear from you soon.

Dearest members of the Lower Class Revolt revolution! Good news abounds! Our record making friends over at Devil in the Woods are pleased to announce the addition of Light FM to their roster.
Light FM has been killing it in Los Angeles over the last twelve months doing everything from having a month long residency at the famed Silverlake Lounge to receiving significant airplay on Indie 103. Many of you had the opportunity to check them out live at our June show at The KnockOut here in San Francisco—they will be back here on August 29th at Amnesia with The Music Lovers—and we hope to see you there. We’ll keep you posted. You can check out more details on Light FM at www.myspace.com/lightfm and over at www.devilinthewoodsrecords.com. The release date is set for October 14th, 2008.
Mark your calendars: The Aimless Never Miss, The Sleepover Disaster, and Pillows on July 30th at The KnockOut in San Francisco. We’ve also got a big plans right around the corner in regards to our monthly Lower Class Revolt shows so stand by for that announcement soon!

We’d like to welcome Timothy Benson to the LCR family. Tim is an amazing video director among other things. You can see some of his work here: www.youtube.com/ShadowedVisionsnet We look forward to working with him soon.
And speaking of videos, our good friend Rykarda Parasol has posted a new video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=IvHkBiriewQ Word is that she’s heading back over to Europe very soon for yet another tour—a follow up to her successful tour last month.
Sequencing of The Lower Class Revolt Volume #2 has begun!
Everything happens for a reason. And the hardest part seems to be figuring out what the reason is. We think we’re getting close.
Take care,
-mike&Zoe

A brief note to our friends of the Lower Class Revolt; Hello and we hope you are all well. We just want to send out a quick reminder about our upcoming show on July 30th at The KnockOut in San Francisco featuring The Aimless Never Miss, The Sleepover Disaster and Pillows. It should be great fun. We’d also like to take this opportunity to let everybody know about a very bright idea–Bandloop.com. Check them out, get in on the ground floor, and tell a few friends just like you’ve been doing with The Lower Class Revolt! And we’re very pleased to welcome Brian and Owen and Bandloop.com on board as a co-sponsor of the July 30th show!
And speaking of The Aimless Never Miss. Their record will be coming out nationally on September 23rd on Devil in the Woods Records though we’ll have copies of the record available on September 10th at their Café Du Nord record release show which will also feature All Smiles (Jim Fairchild from Grandaddy’s new-ish project) and San Francisco’s Harbours. You can motor on over to the Devil in the Woods record site and see the Aimless cover and check out the track listing in the coming days.
The Lower Class Revolt would like to welcome aboard our long time friend Barbara Mitchell. Barbara has been an instrumental player in independent rock music for over two decades now and has been instrumental in the careers of bands as far reaching as Death Cab for Cutie. She was a powerhouse publicist with her company Deluxxe Media, made major inroads with her label Roslyn and now she spends much of her time free lancing while bouncing back and forth between the Northwest and Australia. Well not for long, we have her now! She’ll be coming on board to help steer Devil in the Woods Records as well as The Lower Class Revolt. Hey, there are 50 plus years of indie rock experience running this juggernaut now! But who’s counting?
LCR Volume Two. 8 bands. September 23rd. Mark calendar.
Summer here kids.
