Hello to the folks of the Lower Class Revolt:

On behalf of Zoe and I, we’d like to extend a massive thanks to those who have made 2008 an incredible year for us.  First, we’d like to thank the venues who have allowed us to put on our San Francisco events—The Knock-out, the Café Du Nord and The Retox Lounge. Second, thanks to all of the bands who have played for us—there are too many to list here—but you know who you are and we thank you! And lastly, a massive thanks to all of YOU—the amazing folks who turn up show after show, download our compilations and send along words of encouragement that energize us and keep us going!!!

The New Year has a lot in store from us. Our monthly series at the Knock Out here in San Francisco will continue. We are starting a NEW monthly series as The Retox Lounge beginning on February 13th (We’ve also taken on the day to day booking of the Retox Lounge by the way!). And we will be continuing our quarterly series at the Café Du Nord, also here in San Francisco. We’re currently scoping other cities for our events and news of that will arrive in the coming months. You can also count on us to continue delivering our quarterly compilation series–Volume #3 will be out on January 28th!. And lastly, with any luck we look to expand our clothing line but there are only so many hours in a day!

So with that said, we look forward to seeing you in the coming year and thanks again for all of the support!

See you soon,

-mike and Zoe

Hello to those of the Lower Class Revolt!
In these remaining days of 2008 we’re busy putting together our “best of” lists as well as gearing up for what looks to be an amazingly busy 2009 for not only are we expanding our live show schedule in San Francisco, we also have our sights set on locations up and down the west coast. We’ll keep you posted and our fingers crossed that we’ll be able to pull it off.

The Lower Class Revolt compilation Volume #3 is in its final stages of preparation and will be ready for digital only release on January 29th. The line-up is amazing : Silian Rail, Built For The Sea, Rademacher, My First Earthquake, The Happy Hollows, Metabear, Lynus, James and Evander, Shiloe and Ironlight River. We can’t wait to have it blasting out of your portable music devices soon!

We’re taking submissions for Volume #4 which is due out in March. So send in that music!

Mike has taken over the talent buying duties at the Retox Lounge in San Francisco. So for those of you who are looking for San Francisco dates outside of our monthly show schedule feel free to email him at: retoxbooking@hotmail.com

A quick note of thanks to the folks over at Tricycle records for hosting a great holiday show at the Café Du Nord on December 11th. A quick shout out goes to San Francisco music attorney Barry Simons—it’s always great to hang with him. We’d like to send a quick high five over to Peter Ellenby who we’ve been back in contact with—he’s one of the best rock photographers we’ve ever seen—and his new book is a must have. And finally, a quick wish of luck to our extended family members Chris and Sabrina over at Park the Van Records. They’re relocating back home to New Orleans—yes the wait has been this long since Katrina—and we hope the journey from Philly goes well.
Take care,
Mike and Zoe
