Hello to the members of the Lower Class Revolt!
Thanks to everybody who came out last Thursday night to the Café Du Nord here in San Francisco to check out the amazing performances by Built For The Sea, The Aimless Never Miss, and Silian Rail. For those who unfortunately could not attend, the packed house was treated to a “family” night of music with each band sharing roles in each other’s songs–all tied together by drummer Eric Kuhn who drums for ALL three bands. We were totally blown away and we’re already talking about doing another show next year!

LOTS coming up on the horizon! First, we are ecstatic to be able to announce that we’ll be hosting a Noise Pop Happy Hour on February 25th at Bender’s here in San Francisco. Good news, the event will be FREE taking place between 5p-8p. This event is always a great way to meet up early and kick off the night’s festivities. There are a ton of great shows going on Wednesday night during Noise Pop, as there are every night this year. The line-up for this event will be announced shortly.

ALSO: Later that night The Lower Class Revolt will be hosting two other massive events. The first will be at The Knockout where we’re going to shift the party over for another dose of sensibly made guitar driven rock. We’re still putting together the line up for this event, but trust us, it’s going to be a, uh, knock out. The show will start at 9pm and will cost only $5 to get in. PART TWO of the night will be over at the Retox Lounge and will be happening at the same time. Yes, you’ll have to choose! The LCR will be hosting the amazing and over the top band Born/Dead. These East Bay stalwarts are one of the best in their genre on the West Coast if not the entire U.S. The ability to see them in such an intimate environment will be a real treat to the folks who can get there before it sells out. This is a $5 show and there will of course be a full line up of bands. We are fully aware of the shitty economy so we’re keeping these shows inexpensive!

Another must see:
Wednesday January 28th 2009:The San Francisco release party for The Sleepover Disaster’s new release “Hover” coming out on Devil in the Woods. AND it’s also the release party for Volume #3 of The Lower Class Revolt compilation series featuring: Silian Rail, Built For The Sea, Rademacher, My First Earthquake, The Happy Hollows, Metabear, Lynus, James and Evander, Shiloe and Ironlight River—a sturdy compilation to say the least! This all goes down at The Knockout. We’ll be giving away a limited number of physical copies of this digital only release. A double whammy! Hope to see you there!

PLEASE NOTE: We’re taking submissions for Volume #4 which is due out in March. So send in that music!

Friday February 13th, 2009 @ The Retox Lounge: Raised by Robots, Evacuee, Buildings Breeding
This will be the S.F. debut for new Devil in the Woods signees Buildings Breeding. More on this show as it gets closer.

Don’t forget to pick up a Lower Class Revolt t-shirt. Just a few left of the new design.

We’re pretty happy the holidays are over. This year in particular was a very trying time with the economy the way it is, the depressed nature of the majority of the people, all of it just blew. We’re just so very thankful that we were able to bury ourselves in the music that motivates our daily existence and alleviate some of the misery. We’re very encouraged by the scene that swims around us and we’re thankful that it is here! We look forward to bumping into everybody far and near in the coming months.
Take care,
Mike and Zoe
